What Chris treats
Chris sees private patients for the conditions below. If your problem isn't listed, or you're not sure which page applies, contact one of his secretaries and they'll advise whether a consultation is the right first step.

Impacted or infected wisdom teeth, broken‑down or awkward teeth, and extractions that need a surgical approach or a medically complex patient.
- Oral lesions & biopsy
Ulcers, white or red patches, lumps and other changes to the lining of the mouth or the lips. Diagnosis, biopsy and removal.
- Facial skin lesions
Removal of moles, cysts, lipomas and other lesions of the face, scalp, ears and neck with careful attention to the scar.
- Lumps in the head & neck
Investigation and treatment of neck lumps, salivary gland disease and other benign swellings.

Clicking, locking or painful jaw joints (TMJ) and facial pain. Conservative treatment first, arthrocentesis where appropriate.

Orthognathic assessment and surgery, and late problems after facial fractures.
- Facial scar revision
Surgical improvement of facial scars from injury or previous surgery.
Not sure what you need?
Many patients are referred by their dentist or GP with a description rather than a diagnosis: "a shadow on the X‑ray", "an ulcer that won't go", "a tooth that needs a specialist". That's fine. The point of a first consultation is to work out what's going on and what, if anything, needs doing.
"Most of what I see privately is straightforward once it's been properly looked at. The important thing is that it is properly looked at."
